Guilford Trounces Hollins in ODAC Action

GREENSBORO, N.C. Emily Egan and Summer Frazier both scored twice in Guilford College's 13-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse win over visiting Hollins University Wednesday.

The Quakers (5-3, 2-1 ODAC) raced to a 9-0 halftime lead and held a 10-0 edge before Cait DiMondi scored for Hollins (1-4, 0-2 ODAC).

Egan added an assist and finished with a game-high three points. The Quakers had 10 different goal scorers and outshot the guests, 19-11. Caroline Reeves (Greensboro, N.C./Early College at Guilford) scored once and had a game-high four draw controls, which helped Guilford to a 14-2 edge in the category.

Alyzza-May Callahan made two saves in goal before giving way to Liza Mettler, who had five stops in the second half.

Kelly Sheehan had four saves for Hollins.

Guilford visits league-rival Lynchburg College Saturday (3/27) at 1:00 p.m.
