Griffins Stifle Neumann, Pick up First League Win

Sophomore Nick Hummel (Verona, Wisc./Middleton) led the charge, netting a game-high three goals. Stefan Hetland (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) added two goals and an assist and Mason Risner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) also chipped in two scored as the Griffins improve to 6-2 on the year.

Freshman goalie Rich Zagari (Hillsborough, N.J./Immaculata) helped keep the Knights (1-7, 0-2 CSAC) off the board, making a season-high 16 saves.

Gwynedd was in control the first half, leading 3-0 after the first quarter and adding four more in the second for a 7-0 lead. Neumann scored right before halftime to make it a 7-1 game. In the second half the Griffins held Nuemann to two goals while added four more to their total.
