Monmouth Signs Eight Lacrosse Recruits for 2010-2011

Fellow New Jersey resident Rakowitz is a highly touted defender with letters in three sports (lacrosse, basketball, tennis). She was named a captain on this year's edition of the Montville Township Mustangs squad after being recognized as a First Team All-Conference selection and to the Third Team Morris County Coaches Association. She also plays on the club level on Tri-State.

Obregon has played both midfielder and attacker with the Cavaliers at W.T. Woodson High School. She scored a team-high in goals (75), points (111), and caused turnovers (28) last season as a junior, and she led her squad to a District Championship and to the quarterfinals of the Virginia AAA state tournament. She was also named to the First Team All-Liberty District and given First Team All-Region honors.

"The strength of this class is their diversity from NJ, NY, PA, MD, and VA, plus the fact that there are line defense, midfielders , and attackers in the group," said Wescott. "They have done a great job getting to know each other and have already been to many events here on campus. Their enthusiasm and passion for lacrosse coupled with their level of play and work ethic will really compliment this program. I am looking forward to them joining us next year and know they will make an impact when they get here."
