Maritime Overwhelmed at Centenary College
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (April 3, 2010) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team lost to Centenary College, 25-7, Saturday afternoon Centenary's Cyclone Field. The Privateers fall to 1-4 in defeat, while the Cyclones improve to a perfect 7-0 to start the season.
Maritime got three goals from junior Jill Davenport (Miller Place, N.Y.), two from sophomore-transfer Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and one apiece from sophomore tri-captain Catherin Brady (Holbrook, N.Y.) and freshman Jorrie Trenkamp (Tabernacle, N.J.).
In net for the Privateers, senior tri-captain Meagan Golden (Point Pleasant, N.J.) made eight saves in the losing effort.
Up next, the Privateers will continue Skyline Conference action when they travel to take on Ramapo College this Tuesday, April 6 at 4:00 p.m. at the Roadrunners' Mahwah, N.J. campus.
