13th-Ranked Lynchburg Shuts Down Greensboro

Greensboro, NC -- Franc Cook had 13 saves as 13th-ranked Lynchburg defeated Greensboro College, 10-3, on Wednesday. The Hornets improved to 10-4 and GC dropped to 9-4.

Randy Brooks (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford) scored the match's opening goal with 13:39 left in the first quarter. LC led 2-1 after one quarter and 3-1 at the half. The Hornets led 6-3 after three quarters and outscored The Pride 4-0.

Both teams had 31 shots. Alex Haskins (Ballston Spa, NY/Herkimer C.C.) had nine saves for Greensboro.

Skip Jakupi (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) won 10-16 face-offs for the home team. Brad Gesser (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) and Nick Partone tallied GC's other goals. Brian Kirschner (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) had The Pride's lone assist.

Dylan Hoff, Ethan Farrell, Eddie Bilinkas and Max Voumard all scored twice and had one helper for LC.

The Pride plays at St. Vincent on Saturday.
