No. 1 TCNJ Ices Frostburg to Get Back on Track

Frostburg, MD... Junior Ali Jaeger (Hampton, NJ/North Hunterdon) scored six goals and assisted on two others as The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team handled host Frostburg State University a 19-3 loss on Saturday. The win put the top-ranked Lions at 11-1 on the season.

With her big game, Jaeger moved into ninth-place on the program's all-time scoring list as has 219 points on 168 goals and 51 assists. She moved past Jennifer Hart who had 214 points.

The Bobcats scored the game's first goal, but from that point TCNJ took over. With the Lions leading 4-3, Jaeger netted a pair of goals 45 seconds starting what turned out to be a run of 15 straight goals over the course of the rest of the game. TCNJ led at the half 10-3 and netted all nine goals in the second frame.

Adding scoring balance in the win was senior Lisa Seldeen (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley), senior Robin Deehan (Morris Plains, NJ/Academy of St. Elizabeth), and sophomore Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) all finished with three goals, with Seldeen dishing out three assists and Deehan and Mitchell each one.

Between the pipes for the Lions, Mary Waller (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) made a pair of saves for her 11th victory of the season.

TCNJ returns to New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, April 20 heading to Montclair State University to take on the Red Hawks in a 7:00 p.m. start.
