DeSales Starts Fast, Rolls Past Dutchmen

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - DeSales jumped out to an early 8-0 lead and never looked back as it rolled, 18-2, past Lebanon Valley in men's lacrosse play on Saturday.

The Dutchmen (2-9, 0-7 MAC) had goals by Brendon Cummings and CJ Adams, but couldn't withstand a 55-17 shots disparity in favor of the Bulldogs (4-8, 3-4 MAC).

Kevin Walker scored six to go with two assists to lead DeSales, while Whit Bruemmer had four goals and four helpers. Adams added an assist to his goal for LVC.

Ethan Hilberg tied a career-high with 18 saves in the loss for LVC. Justin Campanelli got the win for DeSales with one stop, splitting halves with Jacob Nyenhuis, who made five saves.

DeSales led 5-0 after the first quarter and tacked five more on in the second to take a 10-1 halftime lead, before scoring four each in the third and fourth quarters. The Bulldogs dominated face-offs, winning 19 of 23 for the game.

LVC hosts Alvernia on Wednesday.
