Greenville High School defeated Wando, 10-8, to capture the South Carolina boys' state title in a game played at White Knoll High School. The Red Raiders (14-2) won their fifth consecutive state crown and also played in the two title games before that. The Bengals (16-0) won their second consecutive state crown. Both the boys' and girls' championships were the first to be sanctioned by the South Carolina High School League.
