Buffalo State Doubles Up Fredonia

BUFFALO, NY- Kendyl Clarkson (Painted Post/Corning West) had a hand in eight of Buffalo State's (7-4/3-1) 12 goals in a 12-6 victory over visiting Fredonia (7-6/1-3) in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.

Clarkson had four goals and four assists in the win for the Bengals. Karen Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) also scored four times. Molly Seifritz (Syracuse/Henninger), Katie Henderson (Lakeview/Frontier) and Mariah DeBolt (Waterloo/Waterloo) had a goal and an assist each. Brittany Nagowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) also scored, and Ashley Caporizzo (Liverpool/CNS) dished out two assists.

Morgan McNamara (Oswego/Oswego) led Fredonia with three goals. Amy Simon (Amherst/Amherst), Katie Monaghan (Fairport/Fairport) and Valerie Snider (Spencerport/Spencerport) added a goal each.

Buffalo State held a 25-24 advantage in shots. Ashley O'Brien (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) made 11 saves for the Bengals, and Casey Chiesa (Baldwinsville/CW Baker) had nine stops for the Blue Devils.

Buffalo State will host Oswego on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
