All-Conference MAAC Teams and Awards Announced

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. Sophomore attack Kelly Condon (Roslyn, Pa.) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday night. She led Marist with 38 goals and 21 assists during the regular season, being named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on April 6 and April 19. Condon was also named to the All-MAAC First Team, with five other Red Foxes named to the All-MAAC Second Team.

The sophomore attack recorded 50 of her 61 points during the regular season in Marist's last nine games. In six conference games, Condon led the MAAC with 3.5 goals per game, 2.67 assists per game, and 6.17 points per game. She had eight points apiece in games at Canisius and against Manhattan, and nine points on five goals and four assists at Iona. Overall, Condon finished the regular season as the MAAC leader in assists, averaging 1.53 per game. She was also third in the conference with 4.07 points per game, and fifth with 2.53 goals per game.

Seniors Lindsay Rinefierd (Smithtown, N.Y.), Morgan Dillon (Freeport, N.Y.), and Erin Wilson (Ada, Mich.), along with junior Erin Betsch (Port Washington, N.Y.) and sophomore Jori Procaccini (Long Valley, N.J.) were selected to the All-MAAC Second Team. Rinefierd is Marist's second-leading scorer with 37 points, scoring 23 goals with 14 assists. She had at least one point in 14 of the Red Foxes' 15 regular season games.

Procaccini finished the regular season second on the team in goals with 27, adding 23 draw controls. Dillon had a career-high 15 goals during the regular season with 25 ground balls and a team-high 18 caused turnovers. Wilson had a team-high 27 ground balls and 37 draw controls, starting all 15 games in the regular season. Betsch proved to be one of the top defenders in the conference, with 21 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.

Junior Allison Daley (Peterborough, Ontario) of the Canisius College women's lacrosse team was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday night, highlighting the Griffs' seven all-conference selections and five All-MAAC First Team honorees.

In addition to Daley, attack Ashley Curtis (Peterborough, Ontario), midfielders Megan Oosting (Lakefield, Ontario) and Brett Poissant (Syracuse, N.Y.) and defender Alison Rusak (Orangeville, Ontario) were all named to the All-MAAC First Team. Midfielder Marissa Brown (Syracuse, N.Y.) and defender Jackie Loson (Newark, N.Y.) also earned second-team all-conference accolades.
