No. 1 Maryland Sprints by Massachusetts

Brittany Dipper earned the win in goal for the Terps, allowing just one goal while making five saves in the first half. Mary Jordan and Kasey Howard split time between the pipes in the second half.

Katie Florence took the loss for UMass making seven saves in nearly 53 minutes of action before being relieved by freshman Christina Fey (1 save, 0 GA).

Nine different Maryland players scored goals in the game. Sarah Mollison led all players with four points (two goals, two assists). Four other Terps scored two goals in the game to lead Maryland.

The four goals scored by UMass marked a season low as were the 13 shots taken. Saturday's game marked the second time this season that UMass faced a No. 1 ranked team (L, 6-18 vs. Northwestern on Feb. 6).
