The Mercy College men's lacrosse team fell to East Coast Conference opponent Dominican College 16-6 in a game played on Wednesday afternoon in Purchase, New York. With the setback, the Mavericks own a 4-10 mark (2-7 ECC); while the Chargers improved to 6-9 (4-5 ECC).

Mercy opened the scoring less than a minute into the game as John Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, N.Y./Lakeland) rushed the net and scored to put the Mavericks up 1-0. Dominican scored the next two markers before Mercy leveled the score at 2-2 when John Thearle (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) found the net off the feed from Frank Henenlotter (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lyynbrook). The Chargers then went on a 7-0 run to take a 9-2 lead into the third quarter.
