Tara Grady Inks NLI to Play Lacrosse at Detroit

The Detroit Titans women's lacrosse team has announced that Tara Grady (San Jose, CA/Pioneer) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play her collegiate lacrosse in the Motor City beginning with the 2011 season.

Grady is a four-year varsity letterwinner at Pioneer High School who has scored over 100 goals so far in her career. The midfielder was named first team all-league as a junior after notching 37 markers and so far has tallied 57 in 11 games in her final prep campaign. A two time team captain, she has also won 75 percent of her draw controls in the last two seasons.

"I am excited that Tara is going to be a Titan," said head coach Mary Ann Meltzer. "I am looking forward to her making an impact on our team in the midfield. She will compliment the rest of the team with her work ethic and I believe she will have an opportunity to grow here."

Outside of lacrosse, Grady has been a member of BioSITE community service, which entails working with elementary students, and was part of the Senior Women's club.

Grady joins two other fall signees from the Golden State in Jenna Alberts (Alamo, CA/Monte Vista) and Morgan Lear (San Ramon, CA/Dougherty Valley).
