#12 Denver Tops USAFA to Extend Streaks to Nine Games

Scoring for the first time this season was senior Deke Jackson (Boise, Idaho) and freshman Taylor Young (Littleton, Colo.), while freshman Kyle Hercher (Littleton, Colo.) tallied his second assist for the season.

Senior Peter Lowell (Freeport, Maine) finished with his second consecutive double-digit save performance, registering 13 saves and allowing only six goals. On the season, Lowell has six games with 10 or more saves. Sophomore keeper Troy Orzech (Franktown, Colo.) relieved Lowell with 4:50 left in the game, coming up with one save and allowing one goal.

With the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament already clinched, the Pioneers now await the announcement of who they will play and where. The NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Selection Show is on Sunday, May 9 on ESPNU and will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m. MT.
