LaxPower 2010 All-Western Region Boys' Lacrosse Team

Will Campbell, Worthington Kilbourne (OH)
The 2010 All-American and First Team Ohio selection was one of the most dominant players in the state evident by his Division 1 Midfielder of the Year award. The dangerous midfielder, who is headed to UNC, contributed 41 goals and eight assists for the talented Worthington Kilbourne squad.

Scott Loy, Toledo St. Francis (OH)
Loy has done it all at Saint Francis in his four years, and in 2010 he was voted Ohio High School Lacrosse Association Player of the Year despite playing for a Division II team. The unselfish midfielder was nearly impossible to contain because of his passing and shooting skills, which he will bring to Syracuse this fall.

Henri Halle, Cherry Creek (CO)
For a rising senior Halle accomplished a lot in 2010, including a Colorado state championship. The dynamic midfielder was the leading scorer for the Bruins, First Team All-State, and even Academic All-State honorable mention.

Michael Fay, West Linn (OR)
This past season Fay was one of only six players from Oregon to be named All-American but the only one to repeat the honor. Fay was always a marked man in Oregon and the First Team All-State selection will continue his career Towson.

Steve Kiesel, Breck (MN)
Only a junior, Kiesel erupted this season in Minnesota, finishing with 53 goals and 20 assists. Whenever Breck needed scoring it was always Kiesel, and now the 2010 All-American will be one of the frontrunners for Minnesota's Mr. Lacrosse in 2011.

Defense

Chris Hipps, Highland Park (TX)
There was a lot of pressure for the Duke recruit to shine this year and Hipps did not disappoint. The tremendous athlete anchored a defense with goalie Jordan Lee and led Highland Park to a Texas state championship. He was an All-American in 2010.

Zach Rogers, Palos Verdes (CA)
Providence College is far from California but Zach Rogers' high school opponents are probably ecstatic he will be leaving the Golden State. The 6-4, 210 pound Rogers was defensive MVP of the Bay League and All-American in 2010.

Steven Bogert, La Costa Canyon (CA)
Bogert was the most disruptive force on the field for the best team in California this year, making a name for him and the La Costa Canyon program. The speedy long stick midfielder, headed to Hofstra, was a force transitioning the ball from defense to offense and this season earned All- American, CIF-San Diego Player of the Year, and North County Conference Player of the year.

Ian Gray, Chaparral (AZ)
Arizona lacrosse is on the rise and Ian Gray certainly is as well as the UMBC recruit who contributed eight goals and two assists as a defenseman. The First Team All-State member will leave Arizona as one of the best players to ever come out of the state.

Davis Gunter, Arapahoe (CO)
Even though Arapahoe did not repeat as state champions, Gunter did his part in trying to help the Warriors relive last year's glory. The defensive general for the Warriors always shut down the opposing team's best attackman, earning the Denver Post's Colorado Player of the Year.
