Washington & Jefferson Names Assistant Coaches

WASHINGTON, Pa. Washington & Jefferson College Director of Athletics Bill Dukett recently announced the hiring of eight new assistant coaches in the athletic department, which include Katelyn Deese (women's lacrosse) and Daniel Holoubek (men's lacrosse).

Deese comes to W&J after spending last year as an assistant lacrosse coach at William Penn Charter in Philadelphia, Pa. She also coached the girls soccer team at Great Valley High School in Malvern, Pa. Deese played lacrosse and soccer at Susquehanna University, where she graduated in May 2009 with a bachelor's degree in communications. She was a two-time All-MAC lacrosse selection, including her first-team honor in 2006. Deese earned second-team laurels as a senior captain in 2009.

A 2009 York (Pa.) graduate, Holoubek was a four-year varsity lacrosse defender for the Spartans' men lacrosse team. He was a team captain in 2007 and was named the 2006 squad's Most Valuable Defenseman. Holoubek earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology from York and has previously worked the Navy Lacrosse Camp.
