University of Miami Names New Graduate Assistant

Coral Gables, FL. (September 9, 2010) -- Tommy Holder has been a graduate assistant coach at the University of Miami. He is originally from Stuart, Fla. A charismatic and vocal leader, Holder was a two-year starter on defense for Miami and instrumental in changing the mindset of a once complacent defensive unit. One of the first highly touted defensive recruits out of Martin County after playing for Saint Edwards High School, he competed at NCAA Division III Virginia Wesleyan in Virginia Beach, Va. for two years.

After transferring to the University of Miami, Holder graduated with a BA in Business Management and a Minor in Business Law in 2010. He is currently a Professional Fisherman and plans to attend the University of Miami MBA program in the fall of 2011.
