Kanach Resigns as Lacrosse Coach at Randolph-Macon

ASHLAND, VA Randolph-Macon College Athletic Director Jeff Burns announced that head women's lacrosse coach Dan Kanach has resigned effective September 30th.

Kanach will depart Ashland after six seasons at the helm of the program. During that time, he amassed 53 total wins, including 43 against ODAC competition. The Yellow Jackets made two appearances in the league championship game and were ranked in the South Region Poll on two occasions. Kanach also mentored four All-Region players during his time on the sidelines.

"Despite inheriting a less than ideal situation, Dan was able to keep our women's lacrosse program at or near the top of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference standings during his tenure, said Burns." "In addition to his win total, his student-athletes performed in the classroom and were consistently recognized by the conference's awards committee for its commitment to sportsmanship and fair play. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

A search for Kanach's replacement will begin immediately.
