Bryant Lacrosse Welcomes 21 Newcomers for 2010-2011

The Bryant University men's lacrosse program enters its first season as a full member of the Division I ranks and third with a full DI schedule. The Northeast Conference will sponsor its first season of men's lacrosse in 2011, and the Bulldogs will be eligible for an NCAA Division I tournament at-large bid for the first time in program history this spring. The NEC will earn an automatic bid into the national tournament beginning in 2013.

Matt Bletzer, Attack (Medfield, Mass./Medfield/5-11/165)
A 2010 graduate of Medfield High School, where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner and three-year starter in lacrosse ... 2010 Tri-Valley League MVP and High School All-American selection ... Three-time league all-star pick ... Led Medfield to four-consecutive league championships and two state titles in four years ... Was also a four-year letterwinner in varsity hockey at Medfield.

Brendan Bouchard, Midfield (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor/5-10/155)
A 2010 graduate of Cold Spring Harbor High School, where he was a two-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse ... Led the Seahawks in scoring in 2010 ... 2010 all-county selection ... Also a two-year varsity letterwinner and 2009 football captain as the team's quarterback ... Earned one varsity letter in basketball.

Colin Dunster, Midfield (Cos Cob, Conn./Greenwich/6-0/170)
A 2010 graduate of Greenwich High School, where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner and three-year starting midfielder for the Cardinals ... First team all-state and All-FCIAC selection in 2010 ... Senior captain and 2010 High School All-American ... Named team MVP as a senior ... Paced Greenwich in goals, assists and total points as a junior and senior ... Connecticut Senior All-Star Game participant ... Named 2010 Greenwich High School Male Athlete of the Year ... Led team to FCIAC championships as a freshman and senior (first-ever in school history) ... Chosen for the 2010 MSG Varsity All-Star Team ... Earned All-FCIAC and all-state second team honors as a junior ... Helped Cardinals to program's best-ever record as a sophomore as the team went 18-3 ... Niko Dutra, Goalie (Danville, Calif./Monte Vista/5-11/195)
A 2010 graduate of Monte Vista High School, where he was a two-year varsity letterwinner and starter in lacrosse ... 2010 first team all-league selection ... Named team and defensive MVP as a senior ... Senior captain and Coaches' Choice award winner ... First Annual East Bay Senior Showcase participant ... Patrick Emmer, Midfield (Skaneateles, N.Y./Avon Old Farms/6-5/220)
A 2009 graduate of Skaneateles Central School, Emmer spent a postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms in Avon, Conn., where he graduated in 2010 ... Four-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse (three at Skaneateles, one at Avon Old Farms) ... Led Avon Old Farms to a league championship in 2010 ... Led Skaneateles Central team to three-consecutive league titles from 2007-09 ... Team won Section III Championship in 2008 ... Also earned five varsity letters in hockey (four at Skaneateles, one at Avon Old Farms) ... Named to the 2008 All-Central New York Second Team in hockey and earned honorable mention honors in 2008 and 2009 ...
