Bryant Lacrosse Welcomes 21 Newcomers for 2010-2011

Trever Sipperly, Midfield (Greenwich, N.Y./Notre Dame/6-2/215)
A 2010 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Sipperly joins the Bulldogs as a graduate student after completing a four-year undergraduate career for the Fighting Irish ... Was the starting faceoff specialist for the Irish as a junior and senior, collecting 95 ground balls while going 271-for-488 (.555) from the faceoff X over his three-year career ... Led Notre Dame to the 2010 NCAA Championship game, where he took every faceoff, going 8-for-15 in the game ... Before joining the Irish, Sipperly was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Greenwich High School ... 2006 High School All-American ... Three-time MVP and team captain ... Two-time all-conference selection ... Holds school record for most points and goals in a season ... Also a three-year track letterwinner and two-year soccer letterwinner ... Two-time soccer all-conference selection ... Was a member of the two-time undefeated conference champion track and field program.

Gerry Smith, Midfield (Narbeth, Pa./Episcopal Academy/6-0/215)
A 2010 graduate of Episcopal Academy, where he was a three-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse and soccer ... Also earned two varsity letters in winter track and one in wrestling ... Volunteers with L.E.A.P.S., a non-profit lacrosse program that brings lacrosse to the city of Philadelphia.

Alex Zomerfeld, Midfield (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Comsewogue/5-10/175)
A 2010 graduate of Comsewogue High School, where he was a three-year varsity letterwinner and two-year starter for the Warriors ... 2010 High School All-American ... Named team MVP as a junior and senior ... 2010 Second Team All-Long Island selection ... Led team to back-to-back league titles in 2009 and 2010 ... Listed in the top-75 players on Long Island as a senior ... Team won county championship in 2009 ... Also earned a varsity track letter and two varsity football letters ... Set a record for the longest interception return for a touchdown as a senior (99 yards) ... Received all-county football honors in 2009 ... Played in the Suffolk vs. Nassau Football All-Star Game as a senior ... Earned first and second academic honors.
