Adelphi Lacrosse Announces New Additions, Fall Schedule

Doug Quednau, from Lindenhurst High School, played three years of varsity lacrosse, running the midfield. His senior year he scored 35 goals and had 17 assist.

Kieran Riegel, beginning his college career at Nassau Community College, where he played two years of lacrosse as a midfielder. At Island Trees High School, he played three years of varsity lacrosse earning all-conference and all-county honors as a senior.

Timothy Smith is a three-year member of the Commack varsity High School lacrosse team, running the midfield. He was named team captain and All-County as a senior afer scoring 22 goals to go along with 10 assists.

Tommy Susko, a four year member of the Molloy College lacrosse team, came from Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville, where he was a midfielder. He led his high school team in points senior year, and was named team captain.

Shane Wynn comes to Adelphi from Nassau Community College, where he was a midfielder. He was also a member of the Oceanside varsity lacrosse team being named Team MVP, All-County, and All-American honorable mention as a senior.

Kyle Yberg was a three-year member of the Molloy College lacrosse team and earned a degree in education, graduating cum laude.

Purdie has also added former Adelphi All-American Frank Tashman to the coaching staff for the 2010-2011 season. Tashman will contribute extensive lacrosse experience and knowledge to the Adelphi offense.

"With a large incoming class we will take advantage of a busy fall schedule to learn to play together," Purdie explained. "The incoming players will have to step into some key positions that have been left vacant due to graduation, in particular we will have to replace some key defenders."
