Cincinnati Lacrosse Adds 10 Recruits to the 2011 Roster

CINCINNATI University of Cincinnati head lacrosse coach Lellie Swords announced the addition of 10 high school standouts to the Bearcats lacrosse program for the 2011 season.

"Every year we recruit players that will help our program grow and this class is no different," said Swords. "We added players at each position that we think can come in and compete for playing time right away. We are really excited to add some much needed depth to our team."

Coming to Cincinnati will be Jenna Chiavacci (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), Chanelle Coulon (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Saint Thomas), Kelsey Conway (Laurel, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel), Erin Flagg (Alpharetta, Ga./Chattahoochee), Katie Jarvis (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland), Megan Knoop (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington), Julia Tasset (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy), Jen Walsh (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Mellville), Hilary Wagonhurst (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep), and Taylor Young (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline).

Jenna Chiavacci - Attack - Westminster, Md./Winters Mill
Winters Mill High School: Four-year letter winner in lacrosse and volleyball, one-year letter winner in basketball named to lacrosse All-Piedmont team all four years earned second-team all-county honors sophomore and junior seasons honorable-mention freshman year helped lead the team to state championship titles in 2007 and 2009, a regional title in 2008, and a county title in 2006.

The daughter of Tony and Kelly Chiavacci, she intends to major in journalism or psychology.

Kelsey Conway - Midfield - Laurel, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel
Our Lady of Good Counsel High School: Led lacrosse team to four Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships (2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010) four-year varsity letter winner earned all-WCAC honors freshman, sophomore and senior seasons led the team in points freshman and sophomore seasons totaled 110 points in high school career with 64 goals and 36 assists.

The daughter of Marty and Kathy Conway, she has a brother, Devin (19), and sister, Lindsay (23), and is majoring in journalism.

Chanelle Coulon - Defense - Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Saint Thomas
Saint Thomas High School: Named to the all-district first team her junior and senior years... helped lead her club team to a 2007 state championship was on the school honor roll all four years.

The daughter of Sandy Kane and Remi Coulon, she has one brother, Damien (15), and one sister, Michelle (5 months) and is majoring in nursing.

Erin Flagg - Midfield - Alpharetta, Ga./Chattahoochee

The daughter of Art and Kim Jarvis, she has one brother, Austin (16), and is majoring in finance.

Megan Knoop - Defense - Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington
Upper Arlington High School: Three-year varsity letter winner in lacrosse and tennis earned Ohio School Lacrosse Association (OSLA) 2008 state tournament defensive MVP honors selected to the OSLA All-Tournament team her sophomore season named to the Ohio Capital Conference (OCC) second-team in both sophomore and junior seasons earned second-team all-state honors junior and senior seasons.
