NYIT Signs 13 to Letters of Intent for the 2012 Season

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Nov. 19, 2010) NYIT head lacrosse coach Bill Dunn announced Friday the signing of 13 scholastic student-athletes to National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at NYIT. The group will begin classes at NYIT in the fall of 2011.

"We are elated with our incoming recruiting class," said Dunn. "There is a wealth of talented future student-athletes. We are pleased with the quality of these student-athletes, not only as lacrosse players but as outstanding students and individuals."

The class features 11 Long Island natives and the program's first recruit from California, Matt Landon.

"We are pleased to have our first player from California," said Dunn. "It's exciting to break through to the West Coast and bring such a good student-athlete as Matt is to our program."

Dunn believes that this recruiting class, along with the 2011 class will be "the nucleus for the future of NYIT's quest for its fifth NCAA Championship."

"We will be following their progress and wish them, their teammates and coaches the best of luck this coming year."
