Morgan Announces Hofstra Recruiting Class for 2011-2012

Morgan on Iannetta: "April's game is all about composure and finesse, and in addition she makes many skills look easy. She is outstanding on the draw, which is an area that we continue to focus on after being one of the best in the country last year. At Wantagh, much of her success has come in the most important games as was the case in her performance in the Nassau County finals held here at Hofstra last season."

A student at Queens Anne's County High School in Centreville, MD, Lenox is a 5-2 midfielder who has started for four seasons for the soccer and lacrosse teams. During her time on the lacrosse team she has helped lead the Lions to 51 victories, while earning the North Bayside championship in each of the last three seasons. Lenox was a first team All-Mid Shore selection at midfield in 2010, an All-Mid Shore selection at defense in 2009 and a second team All-Mid Shore pick at midfield in 2008.

Morgan on Lenox: "Samantha's no fear and never give up attitude makes her a perfect fit for our program. She is a gifted goal scorer but her impact on ground balls, draw controls and hustle plays all over the field have made her a game changer."

A 5-4 defender at John Carroll School in Bel Air, MD, Wilson has played four years of lacrosse and four years of soccer for the Patriots. In her freshman season she helped the Patriots win the IAAM A Conference Championship. Wilson will once again be a teammate of Alex Mezzanotte, current Pride freshman, who was also part of that same championship squad. Wilson was also a member of the 2011 Skywalkers Blue club team which garnered the tournament championships at both the IWLCA Champions Cup and the Club National Championships in 2010.

Morgan on Wilson: "Abby joins the Pride after gaining successful experience from both her John Carroll High School team and arguably one of the best club teams in the nation. She is a dynamic athlete with great stick skills and work ethic, and we expect her to bring this new element to our squad."
