Sheridan Adds Three to Randolph-Macon Lacrosse Staff

ASHLAND, VA First-year Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse head coach J.B. Sheridan announced the additions of Brennan Green, Jason Carter and David Daly to his coaching staff.

Green will serve as the lead assistant for Sheridan and will be involved in all day-to-day phases of the Yellow Jacket program. Green arrives in Ashland after a successful playing career at Lynchburg College. As a face-off specialist, Green played in 44 games while starting 23, including 17 of 18 in his senior season. With a career face-off percentage of 51.5% (251-487), Green is ranked 8th in Lynchburg's face-off career statistics, tied for 9th in single face-off season records (57.4%), and currently in second for most face-offs won in a single game at 19 against two separate opponents.

During Green's tenure with the Hornets, the team posted a 40-13 overall record and a 17-2 ODAC mark that included an Old Dominion Conference Championship and NCAA berth in 2008. Green is a 2010 graduate of LC with a degree in Communications.

A two-time captain of perennial Division I powerhouse Maryland, Carter will serve as volunteer assistant for Sheridan in 2011. While a goalkeeper for the Terrapins from 2005-09, Carter was a member of the 2005 ACC Championship team , which also advanced to the NCAA Division I Final Four and followed that up with return trip in 2006.

Daly makes the move to the collegiate ranks after serving as head coach of the Mills Godwin High School program in Richmond for two years. Daly broke into the coaching ranks at his alma mater Molloy College in Rockville Centre, N.Y., serving as an assistant during the 2005 season. Daly was a standout defender for Molloy, earning All New York Collegiate Athletic Conference honors on three occasions. Daly was named a Preseason All-American by the USILA prior to his senior season and was also named to the NYCAC All-Academic team twice.

Randolph-Macon finished 2010 7-8 overall, with seven of those losses coming to teams ranked in the top-25. The Yellow Jackets qualified for the ODAC Tournament for third year in a row, which is a program first.

The Yellow Jackets will open their season on February 23rd at Wesley College.
