Hilbert took the 3-0 lead in the first, but Alvernia answered with a goal each from Ray, Gallagher, and Boyd. Hilbert closed the quarter with two and started the second with another to go up 6-3, but Alvernia scored the final three goals of the second for a 6-6 score at halftime.

Hilbert opened the third quarter with three straight and Alvernia came back with two to pull within a goal at 9-8 with 5:42 left in the third, but HIlbert score the final goal of the third and all four in the fourth for the 14-8 final.
