Sisk, Farley Lead Guilford to Victory vs. Sewanee
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Chris Sisk scored four goals and Henry Farley added two tallies and four assists in Guilford College's 13-10 lacrosse win over visiting University of the South Friday.
Taylor Teodosio scored twice in the Quakers' 7-0 run to start the game, which helped Guilford to a 7-2 halftime lead. Sisk had three scores in the third quarter, including one with 10 seconds left in the frame that opened an 11-5 edge.
After Chase Clausen scored with 6:27 left in regulation to give Guilford a 13-6 lead, the Tigers rallied to score the game's final four goals. Davis Brown scored three of his team-high four goals in the quarter and assisted on the fourth.
Mark Guillen made 15 saves in goal for the Quakers, who were outshot 41-39. In addition to picking up a game-high seven ground balls, Ken Keesee contributed two goals and an assist for three points. Clausen also finished with three points on a goal and two assists. Sam Newland won 12 of 19 face-offs, which helped the Quakers to a 15-10 edge in draws.
Brown's five points paced the Tigers (1-3). Pierce Leonard contributed three goals and an assist and Reed Daniel had two helpers. Tommy Heely made 13 saves in goal.
Guilford hosts Plattsburgh State Wednesday (3/16) at 4:00 p.m.
