Sack Leads Kenyon to Victory Over Guilford

SEWANEE, Tenn. Leah Sack scored four goals and added three assists in Kenyon College's 16-13 lacrosse victory over Guilford College Friday at the University of the South.

The Ladies (2-2) jumped out to a 12-5 halftime lead and withstood a Guilford (1-4) rally to end the game. The Quakers finished the contest on a 6-2 run.

Kenyon's Jennifer Fitzgerald contributed three goals and an assist, all in the first half. Eight different Ladies found the back of the net and Kenyon outshot Guilford, 40-28. Trina Rennie had two goals and two assists. Emily Nichols scored three times. Goalie Casey McKone made 10 of her 12 saves in the second half.

Guilford had six different students score twice, including E'Leyna Garcia, who also had an assist. Becca Colley had two goals and three ground balls. Liza Mettler made a season-high 19 saves in goal.

Guilford visits Sewanee Saturday (3/14) at noon.
