Braniecki, West Each Net 5 in Devil Win vs. Bryn Mawr

(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) Dickinson College rolled to a 20-2 win over Bryn Mawr in its Centennial Conference opener on Saturday. The Red Devils scored the first nine goals of the game, holding a 15-2 advantage at halftime.

Senior Sara Braniecki (Ocean City, Md./Stephen Decatur) scored five goals and dished out an assist while classmate Lucy West (Bethesda, Md./Holton-Arms) found the net five times as well. Sophomore Linzi Burstein (Alexandria, Va./TC Williams) dished out four assists, adding a goal for five points. Junior Katie Moore (Chestertown, Md./St. Andrew's, Del.) added a goal and three assists, and Clare Manoli (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy) chipped in with three goals as well.

On the day, 13 Red Devils tallied a goal or assist. Jessie Clark (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) made three saves in the first half while Amanda Morse (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) stopped five shots in the second.

Kelsey Muir (Glen Mills, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) caused a pair of turnovers and controlled three draws. Chloe Golod (Huntington, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) won two draws and picked-up three ground balls.

The Devils held a 15-9 advantage on draws and a 30-11 edge in shots. The Devils improve to 4-5 overall. They are off until next Saturday, hosting Ursinus College at 3:00 pm.
