Transactions Prior to the NLL Trading Deadline

The Calgary Roughnecks have traded Andrew Biers to the Minnesota Swarm in exchange for their second round pick and third round pick in the 2006 Entry Draft.

The Minnesota Swarm have traded Darryl Gibson and their second round selection in the 2007 Entry Draft to the Toronto Rock in exchange for their first round selection in the 2008 Entry Draft and their second round selection in the 2006 Entry Draft. The Minnesota Swarm have released Tony Henderson and D'Arcy Berthiaume.

The Rochester Knighthawks have traded Andrew Burkholder to the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for their third round selection in the 2006 Entry Draft. The Colorado Mammoth have released Gewas Schindler. The Rochester Knighthawks have signed Blake Miller and has been placed on the Active Roster.

Sting Trade Crosbie to Bandits for Plunkett and Draft Pick

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting Head Coach and General Manager Bob Hamley announced Monday that he has made a trade with the East Division's Buffalo Bandits. The Sting will send forward Jason Crosbie to Buffalo in exchange for a fourth round pick at the 2007 NLL Entry Draft and forward Lindsay Plunkett.

"We're happy to be bringing Lindsay back to our organization," said Hamley. "He was a big part of our team last year and has a lot of offensive talent. Our offense has been struggling somewhat lately, so hopefully he can provide a spark on our attack."

Plunkett was a member of the 2005 Sting team that captured the West Division Championship. He was dealt over the off-season to Buffalo and has amassed 9G-9A-18P in 7 games thus far in 2006. In 12 games for the Sting last season, the 6'3", 210 lb. forward registered 14G-22A-36P in 12 games. In the playoffs, Plunkett tallied 4G-10A-14P in 3 games. A native of Peterborough, Ontario, he is currently in his fifth professional season.

In 9 games for the Sting this season, Crosbie has registered 12G-29A-41P. The sixth year pro played three seasons in Buffalo from 2003-2005.

Bandits Acquire Crosbie from Arizona

BUFFALO, NY (March 14, 2006) - The Buffalo Bandits today announced they have re-acquired forward Jason Crosbie from the Arizona Sting in exchange for Buffalo's fourth round pick in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft and forward Lindsay Plunkett.

Now in his sixth season in the NLL, Crosbie appeared in 46 games with the Bandits from 2003-05, scoring 148 points (64+84). In nine games for the Sting this season, Crosbie has registered 41 points (12+29).

"We're really glad to have Jason Crosbie back," said Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour. "He's a great leader on and off the floor."

Following the end of the 2005 season, Crosbie was sent to Arizona along with Buffalo's first round selection (5th overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft, and their first round selection in the 2005 Dispersal Draft to the Arizona Sting in exchange for forwards Troy Bonterre, Lindsay Plunkett, and the first round selection (10th overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft on July 14, 2005.

Plunkett appeared in seven games for the Bandits in 2006, recording 18 points (9+9) and picking up 21 loose balls.

Andrew Biers Traded

Calgary, AB - With only minutes left to go to the NLL's trade deadline, the Roughnecks today sent Calgary product Andrew Biers to Minnesota in exchange for a 2nd and 3rd pick in the NLL's 2006 entry draft.

"Andrew is a quality lacrosse player," said General Manager Kurt Silcott, "and this was more of a numbers game for us heading into the playoffs.
