Freshmen Lead #17 Bucknell Past #16 Albany

Albany closed within two on a Miles Thompson goal with 7:23 to play, but Kyle Feeney (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) and the Bucknell defense were tremendous down the stretch. Feeney made five of his eight saves in the fourth quarter, all of them with a high degree of difficulty.

Bucknell went 13 for 22 at the faceoff X, led by a 10 for 15 day from Jake Clarke (Cos Cob, Conn./Grenwich), who also had eight ground balls in the game. Freshman Jackson Place (Wayne, Pa./Episcopal Academy) had five ground balls playing the wing on faceoffs, and defensemen John Collett (Randolph, N.J./Delbarton) and Alex Lyons (Owings Mills, Md./Boys' Latin) added five ground balls apiece.

Streep, Heritage and Klipstein all finished with two goals and one assist, while Danylyshyn had two assists for the Bison. Gantsoudes and Chase Bailey (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) chipped in goals as well. The Bison played without hot-scoring middie Billy Eisenreich (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) for a second straight game due to injury.

Resetarits had a six-point game with three goals and three assists for Albany. Miles Thompson added three goals and Matt Johnson three assists.

Bucknell has two more home games next week, coming against Penn State on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and Holy Cross on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Both games will air live on Bison Vision.
