Mount Saint Vincent Suffers Skyline Setback to Maritime

The Privateers were a dominant 18 for 26 on faceoffs, led by junior Ryan Honey (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point), who was 8 for 10 from the X with two groundballs. Maritime took a 12-1 lead into the half, thanks in part to outshooting Mount Saint Vincent, 33-6. The Privateers also took advantage of man-up opportunities, scoring on 7 of 16 opps.

The Dolphins were led by senior Mike Shea, who recorded a hat trick in the losing effort. Freshman goalie Kyle Kalibat made 13 saves and gave way to classmate Dom Scipioni.

Maritime returns to action on Saturday, when the team plays host to non-conference opponent Mount Ida. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
