Randolph-Macon Sprints Past Guilford in ODAC Tilt

ASHLAND, Va. Brian Rowe scored five times and Jake Leddy added three goals and six assists in Randolph-Macon's convincing 18-3 lacrosse win over Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Guilford College Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets (7-3, 1-2 ODAC) scored five times in the opening 11 minutes before Guilford's Henry Farley got the Quakers (8-4, 2-2 ODAC) on the board with a man-up goal late in the first quarter. Randolph-Macon scored the game's next 12 tallies and held a 17-1 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Nine different Yellow Jackets scored in the contest, including Brett Austin, who netted three goals and an assist. Tyler Midwinter scored twice and chipped in three helpers. Randolph-Macon outshot Guilford, 47-13, and had 44 ground balls to the Quakers' 23.

J.R. Sander won 14 of 21 face-offs and picked up 11 ground balls. Jason Crawford went the distance in goal and made five of his eight saves in the fourth quarter.

Chase Clausen scored a goal and an assist for the Quakers. Mark Guillen made 14 saves between the pipes.

The Quakers visit nationally ranked league-rival Hampden-Sydney College next Saturday (4/9) at 1:00 p.m.
