Hood Routed by Mary Washington in CAC Match

FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--Hood College (5-6, 1-4 CAC) lost to the University of Mary Washington Eagles (8-5, 4-2 CAC) by a count of 20-3 Wednesday in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

First-year Randolph Clark scored a pair of goals, one in the first quarter and another in the fourth, while Dominique Shorter added a single tally, his eighth of the season.

After holding a 9-1 lead at halftime, the Eagles erupted for 10 goals by nine different players in the third quarter.

The Eagles remain in fourth place in the CAC while the Blazers slip to seventh place following today's setback and a 7-3 win by Wesley College (2-4 CAC) over Marymount (0-5 CAC) this afternoon.

Hood next travels to Marymount Saturday to face the Saints in a crucial CAC matchup at 7:30 p.m.
