Krechel Has 11 Points in LVC's Victory at Wilkes

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - Six Dutchmen had multi-goal games, including Hana Krechel's record-setting seven assists and 11 points, as Lebanon Valley dominated Wilkes to win 17-9 on Friday.

The Dutchmen move to 5-4 and 4-2 in Middle Atlantic Conference play with the win over the Colonels (2-7, 0-5 MAC). LVC held a 33-18 shots advantage and controlled the circle by winning 18 of 28 draw controls.

Krechel stuffed the stat sheet, setting program single-game record with seven assists and 11 points, all while grabbing seven draw controls and five ground balls. Suzanne Sullivan notched her first career hat trick, and Lindsey Buckman, Allison McGinniss, Christy Wilson, and Kristin Clift each scored twice to lead the LVC offense.

Keri Meerholz and Allie Grippo led Wilkes with three goals apiece.

LVC blew out to a 9-3 halftime lead and never looked back, scoring four in a row after Wilkes' Olivia Dworak opened the game to take control. LVC kept up to the pressure to start the second half to go up 12-3, but Wilkes got three back after a string of Dutchman yellow cards.

Lebanon Valley left no doubt after that, though, as Buckman and McGinniss combined for three straight goals to make it 15-6 on the way to the win.

The Dutchmen used all three goalies, with Corinne Palombo getting the win in a half's worth of play with two saves. Erica Ameigh and Rachel Denny split the second half, making two saves each. Justine Thimmel stopped nine in the loss.

LVC returns home to host FDU-Florham on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
