Regis Runs by Mesa State for Ninth Victory

Denver, Colo.: Regis recorded yet another double-digit victory, this time a 20-2 decision over Mesa State.

Regis (9-1, 5-0 RMAC) scored the first seven goals and got goals from eight different players. The Rangers led Mesa State (2-8, 1-4 WILA) 10-1 at halftime and outshot the Mavericks 42-10 during the game.

The Rangers had a decided advantage in draw controls taking 17 of the 24. Senior Kelsi Goings and reigning WILA Offensive Player of the Week junior Erin Dybus each tallied five goals to lead the Ranger offense. Junior Morgan Taylor and freshman Danica Cutshall each tallied three assists.

Senior Chani Taggart led the Ranger defense with four ground balls, while Cutshall and freshman Kelsey O'Connor each had three. Cutshall led the Rangers with an astounding nine draw controls. Sophomore Erin Flynn caused four of Mesa State's 21 turnovers.

Senior Erin Lewis allowed just two goals and saved five other shots and notched her seventh victory of the season.

The Rangers will travel to the east coast where they will take on Rollins Friday, April 15th and then Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday.
