Westminster Splits Two Games on Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The top-ranked Westminster women's lacrosse team split its two games on Saturday in Colorado. Westminster dropped a 20-9 decision to DI Colorado State and then defeated Air Force 14-10 in the night cap.

Westminster is now 12-3 on the year and they remain undefeated against teams from Division 2. Colorado State, ranked fifth in DI, is now 12-5 while Air Force slips to 1-5.

Chelsea Farrell scored five goals against Colorado State to lead the Griffins. Lindsey Mark added three scores with Farrell adding three assists. Regan Lelli made 16 saves in the Westminster cage.

Mark came back to score six goals against Air Force while Farrell again scored five. Erin Foslid struck for two goals and Dechie Sumampong added one goal. Lelli recorded eight saves.

Westminster will conclude this five-game road trip with two games on Sunday. They face the University of Dallas at 9:30 a.m. and then Colorado College at 2:30 p.m. Both game will be played at Colorado College and will feature video streaming and live stats available at WestminsterGriffins.com.
