Southern New Hampshire Outguns Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H. Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) and Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) each totaled three goals and an assist as Southern New Hampshire topped Franklin Pierce, 15-12, in Northeast-10 action Tuesday evening at Sodexo Field. The Penmen improve to 6-4 and 4-2 in the NE-10, while the Ravens are now 6-5 and 3-4 in the league.

Justine Clark (Oceanside, N.Y.) added three goals for Southern New Hampshire, while Sara Halbich (Salem, N.H.) and Kayleigh Dube (Bourne, Mass.) each totaled two goals. Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) notched a goal and an assist, while Ashley Chu (Framingham, Mass.) had the other Penmen tally.

Courtney Weber paced Franklin Pierce with four goals, while Lindsey Leach and Lauren Stille finished with three goals apiece.

Southern New Hampshire never trailed and opened up a 5-2 lead midway through the first half following a goal by Justine Clark. The Penmen led 8-4 at halftime and opened up their largest lead, 14-7, with 11 minutes to play on a Phoebe Clark tally.

Hannah Moriarty (Chelmsford, Mass.) made 10 saves for Southern New Hampshire while Raven goalie Jillian Bolduc turned aside 19 shots. The Penmen outshot Franklin Pierce 44-30.

SNHU returns to action Saturday when it hosts the University of New Haven in a 1:00 contest at Larkin Field.
