No. 5 Cortland Nets 13 Straight to Down Oswego
Cortland offense came out strong in the third quarter posting eight goals, two of which came during man-up opportunities, to carry a 21-2 advantage into the final 15 minutes.
Mark Briggs found Andy Lever open for the Lakers' third goal 2:18 into the fourth quarter. The Red Dragons scored the next two goals before Andy Williams and Leone netted a pair of goals in the final two minutes for the final decision.
Ian O'Brien suffered the loss in goal with five saves and 13 goals allowed in the first half, while Tyler Trueman stopped six shots and gave up ten goals in the second half. Four Cortland goalies combined to record six saves.
