St. Mary's Charges Past Hood in CAC Finale
The Seahawks posted identical 3-1 runs in the third and fourth stanzas for the 16-3 final as St. Mary's tallied the first three goals to start each period.
St. Mary's finished with 42 shots while Heisner and sophomore midfielder Albert Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass./Saint John's) each scooped up a team-best six ground balls.
In goal, junior Stu Wheeler (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's) made seven saves, gave up two goals and had three ground balls in 55 minutes while sophomore Ben Wheeler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) finished out the game.
