The teams traded goals again before the end of the stanza. Chris Curran's unassisted marker for the Scots at 3:24 was matched by York's second man-up goal Papsan from Hopkins with 1:35 left in the quarter.
The fourth quarter began as the third ended. Papsan returned the favor to Hopkins, assisting on his man-up goal 12 seconds into the fourth. Rudell took advantage of a two-man-up situation and a great feed from Chappelle to put York up 8-6 with 12:58 remaining.
