Fairleigh Dickinson Shuts Down Alvernia

Madison, N.J. (Apr. 21, 2011) - FDU-Florham (8-6, 6-3) spread out 10 goals over four quarters in a 10-1 win over Alvernia University (2-12, 0-9) Thursday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action at FDU.

The Devils scored three in the first and went up 5-0 with two more in the second. Alvernia's lone goal came from Rick Reid (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) in the third quarter.

Alvernia junior Kevin Shupp (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) made 14 saves in net for the Crusaders.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule at Eastern next Tuesday.
