SYRACUSE, N.Y. Second-ranked Le Moyne clinched a share of the Northeast-10 regular season title for the fourth straight year with a 15-6 victory over Bentley Saturday afternoon in men's lacrosse action. The loss snaps Bentley's six-game winning streak in the NE-10.

After trailing 8-3 at one point in the third quarter following two straight goals by Le Moyne's senior attack Vinnie Alexander, Bentley climbed back into the game with three straight goals.

Senior Matt Boilard (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug) scored a man-up goal at the 5:33 mark of the third, assisted by junior Brendan Grant (Walpole, Mass./Xaverian Brothers), the first of three straight assists for him.

Only 58 seconds later junior Richard Travers (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) made it an 8-5 game, and just 16 seconds after that, senior Jared Kinch (Cohasset, Mass./BC High) pulled Bentley to within two goals with his third of the season.

The Dolphins though answered back before the end of the quarter, getting goals from Alexander and senior attack Jack Venditti to make the score 10-6 going into the final quarter.

Le Moyne then pulled away in the fourth, outscoring Bentley 5-0 behind five different goal scorers, including Venditti, who scored his fourth of the afternoon.

Early in the second quarter, a Boilard goal tied the score at two before the Dolphins reeled four unanswered scores over a nine minute stretch. However, sophomore Steve Caditz (Mercer Island, Wash./Mercer Island) scored right before halftime for Bentley to make the score 6-3.

The Dolphins improve 11-1 overall and 9-0 in the NE-10 with the win, while the Falcons drop to 6-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference. They begin to close out the regular season next Wednesday at home against Saint Michael's on Senior Night.
