Greensburg, Pa. – The Cazenovia College women's lacrosse team was defeated in its season opener against the Seton Hill University Griffins on Sat., Mar. 18, 11-13, in overtime. With the loss, Cazenovia falls to 0-1 on the season. The Griffins improved to 1-1 in 2006 with the win.

Cazenovia was led by Alison Bonanni ('06, Ithaca, N.Y. / Ithaca HS). Bonanni scored a team-high four goals in the game. Alexandria Huban ('09, New Woodstock, N.Y. / Shaker HS) and last year's leading scorer, Cali Parrotta ('06, Clay, N.Y. / Cicero North Syracuse HS), each netted three goals for the Wildcats. Newcomer Jaclyn Capocefalo (East Syracuse, N.Y. / Onondaga CC), in her first Cazenovia women's lacrosse game, also scored a goal for the Wildcats.

On Mon., Mar. 20, the Cazenovia women's lacrosse program officially announced that its next two home games have been rescheduled. On Wed., Mar. 22, due to inclimate weather and poor field conditions, the Wildcats will play at 6:15 PM at Chittenango High School in Chittenango, N.Y. Additionally, the Sat., April 1, home game against Chestnut Hill College has also been moved to Chittenango High School. Game time for the match against Chestnut Hill is slated for 6:00 PM.
