Elizabethtown Shuts Down Lebanon Valley

The Flying Dutchmen stuck again to start the final 15 minutes of play, but freshman Seth Hinder (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) and senior Brian Schaaf (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) scored in the final five minutes to give the Jays the 13-2 final edge.

Between the pipes for the Blue Jays, junior Brendan Corcoran (Hershey, Pa./Western Reserve Academy) turned away 11 shots in 55:18 of action before giving way to freshman Adam Moore (Norwood, Pa./Interboro), who went on to make three stops. On the other end, the Flying Dutchmen used three goalies, with Bryan Lockward playing the first half and making seven saves.

Seniors Mike Kenneally (Lutherville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Brent Campbell (Baltimore, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) tied for the team-high with five ground balls apiece. Campbell also went 8 for 13 on faceoff attempts on the day.

As a team, E-town committed just 17 turnovers in the contest, which ties a season best.

The next game for the Jays is Saturday's home showdown with Misericrodia. Game time is scheduled for noon.
