Prager Nets 5 as #3 Limestone Routs Lenoir-Rhyne

HICKORY, N.C. Junior attack Racquel Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) delivered a game-high five goals as No. 3 Limestone (17-0, 7-0 CC) posted a commanding 21-2 victory at Lenoir-Rhyne (6-9) in a Division II women's lacrosse game on Friday, April 29.

In a matchup of a perennial national power against a first-year program, Limestone wasted no time in taking full advantage early in the game. Prager notched back-to-back goals at the 25:21 and 23:43 marks to put the Saints ahead 2-0 before freshman midfielder Kacie Harris (Stanley, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder Katie Farrell (Brooks, Ga.) stretched the lead to 4-0.

A goal by LRU's Kelsey Anderson broke the streak with 20:11 remaining in the half but that would be all they would see over the next 20 minutes. At that point, Limestone would then crush any thoughts of an upset as they scored 10 straight goals, with two each by Prager, sophomore midfielder Chelsea Treat (Penn Yan, N.Y.) and freshman attack Sarah Oor (Uxbridge, Canada), to make the score 14-2. Anderson would then net the Bears second goal at the 25:14 mark to break the run.

Over the final 23:50, seven different players would find the back of the net for Limestone to reach the final margin of 21-2 and stretch the Saints win streak to 17. With the victory, they are now tied with Maryland for the most wins across all three NCAA Divisions.

Kelsey Anderson recorded both goals to Lead Lenoir-Rhyne while Stevie Dellinger finished with a team-high five ground balls. Amanda Cotto played all 60 minutes in goal and allowed all 21 goals to take the loss and drop to 6-9 on the season.

Racquel Prager tallied a game-high five goals and added an assist to lead Limestone while Kacie Harris, Chelsea Treat, sophomore attack Jessica Williams (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Sarah Oor each recorded a pair of scores. Junior attack Kelly Lalonde (Henrietta, N.Y.) dished out an impressive five assists and senior attack Casey Wilcox (Liverpool, N.Y.) finished with three.

Notching solo scores were freshman midfielder Jessica Aguanno (Delray Beach, Fla.), freshman defender Jessica Tessman (Whitby, Ontario, Canada), senior attack Kaitlyn Liccion (Auburn, N.Y.), junior attack Lindsay Malecki (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), sophomore midfielder Brittany Howard (Oswego, N.Y.), junior midfielder Jessie Aguglia (Webster, N.Y.), Katie Farrell and senior defender Erin Growney (Rochester, N.Y.).

Sophomore goalkeeper Rashelle McLellan (East Lyme, Conn.) played all 60 minutes in net and made six saves while allowing only a pair of goals.

Limestone wraps up the regular season on Saturday, May 7 when they host No. 9 Rollins at 12:00 p.m.
