Lenoir-Rhyne Elevates Reuschle to Head Coach
Hickory, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University has elevated Sue Reuschle to head coach. Reuschle spent last year as a graduate assistant coach for the Bears, helping the squad notch six wins in their inaugural season.
"I am very pleased we have gone in this direction, and I am quite confident that Sue (Reuschle) will help build a successful program," said Neill McGeachy, Lenoir-Rhyne's Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
"I am so very excited to be the Head Coach of the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team," said Sue Reuschle.
"I can't wait to see what we can do when this talented group of ladies I had the pleasure of coaching last year returns and is joined by a high-caliber group of newcomers. I am also thankful for our athletics director (Neill McGeachy) for giving me this opportunity and for our director of lacrosse (Greg Paradine) for being a great mentor to me this past year."
Reuschle came to L-R after spending one year as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at E.A. Laney High School in Wilmington, N.C.
Prior to Laney, Reuschle spent the 2009 season as a traveling goalkeeper coach for Wilmington area schools at both the middle and high school levels.
Reuschle played at SUNY Oswego (2003-04) where she was a goalkeeper and midfielder before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Reuschle graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
