Four-Time National Champ Joins Staff at Iona

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Iona College head coach Michelle Mason has announced that Caitlin Jackson will join her on the sidelines this season as her assistant coach. Jackson, a 2009 graduate of Northwestern University, was a four-time National Champion with the Wildcats.

"The opportunity to work in a community like Iona's is an amazing one because it means working with not only great athletes, but dedicated students and good people, as well," she says. "I look forward to bringing my unique perspective of the game to Iona lacrosse and helping Coach Mason continue to build a competitive and successful program within the MAAC."

Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies from Northwestern. She spent the 2010-11 season as a volunteer women's lacrosse coach at Columbia, as well as co-owned and operated all Columbia lacrosse camps and clinics through Gameday Lacrosse, LLC. During the 2009-10 school year, she was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut.

Jackson's coaching experience also extends to the club ranks, in which she held head coaching positions with NewLax Lacrosse Club (New York, NY), Lax Plus Lacrosse Club (East Windsor, CT), and Wildcat Elite Lacrosse Club (Evanston, IL).
