Longwood Welcomes Nine Newcomers for 2012

Rowson played for Robinson Secondary High School. The midfielder earned a Second-Team All-District honor and also participated in cheerleading and the Student Government Association.

Trainer played four years for Mt. Hebron High School. The midfielder was a 2009 County and Regional Champion and Maryland State finalist. In 2011, she served as team captain, leading the team to a County and Regional Championship and earning a nod as Academic All-American. Trainer was also a standout on the soccer team, serving as captain in 2010 and garnering All-County Honorable Mention status. Some of her academic achievements include Maryland Distinguished Scholar Honorable Mention, Val McNeely PE Department Award, being part of the top 5% of the class, and membership in the National Honor Society.

Weyant was a defender on the Fallston High School team that won a 2011 Regional and UCBAC Championship. She also earned a 2009 State Championship in soccer as well as a 2010 State Championship in basketball.
