Navy to Host 11-Team Invitational on Saturday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy will be hosting its annual Navy Invitational this Saturday on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy. Saturday's fall ball exhibition schedule features eleven teams playing 22 total games on three different fields, beginning at 8:30 AM.

Navy will play four games on Saturday, all at Rip Miller Field. The Mids will take on Vanderbilt at 8:30 AM, Notre Dame at 10:30 AM, Stanford at 1:30 PM and Bucknell at 2:30 PM.

The other six teams in attendance will be George Washington, Hofstra, James Madison, Louisville, Stony Brook and Towson. Navy, James Madison and Stanford all appeared in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Parking/Shuttle Information: All fans without a Department of Defense sticker on their vehicle must park outside of the U.S. Naval Academy grounds. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $10 (cash only) and take a free shuttle bus from the stadium to the Academy. The shuttle buses will start running at 7:45 AM and the last shuttle will depart from the Academy at 5:15 PM. Buses will pick up at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at the LAX designated parking area inside of Gate 5. There will be two drop-off points on the Yard - one at Field 3 (Rip Miller Turf) and one at Fields 1 & 2 (Farragut).

If parents/fans decide to leave the stadium with their cars and then come back, they will be required to pay the $10 fee again.

Directions to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium From Taylor Ave., turn into the parking lot at Gate 5 and follow signs for EVENT and LAX parking. Boat Show parking will also be at the stadium, fans are reminded to follow signs specifically for LAX and enter through our designated gate: Gate 5.

Fans may also park in downtown Annapolis and walk onto the Yard through the pedestrian entrance at Gate 1. But parking downtown will be limited due to this weekend's Powerboat Show.
